They name the child "Don-chan" and embark on the journey of raising her, despite their initial confusion. ...。本作は幼少期の記憶の断片が不意に脳裏をよぎり、しばしば意識が飛んでしまう記憶喪失癖に悩む女子高生・鹿角華蓮（かづのかれん）を主人公とするミステリー。韓国への修学旅行のためパスポート申請用の戸籍抄本を手にした華蓮は、4歳のときに亡くなった由（ゆかり）という姉がいたこと、自身は“松本”という家から今の両親に引き取られてきたことを知る。本当の親の居場所や、自分が養子に出された理由を知りたい華蓮は嘘をついて修学旅行をキャンセルし、出生地の福岡へと旅立つ。。
