Two friends work as cleaners whose jobs are to clean homes and places where people have died or dead bodies are found. One day, they are tasked with cleaning a house where there were three dead bodies inside. Their job is to clean the corpses that have rotted. When they arrived there, they found that there are strange things happening and then they discover a strange book.。该剧采用两集一个单元故事为主要结构，以边防缉毒警察赵晓雪、张宏伟，侦查员曹海、万敏捷，以及法制社记者柳佳佳等主要人物贯穿全剧，讲述一群涉毒人员在毒品世界中的沉沦、赎罪及自救为主线，以此来警示人们珍爱生命，远离毒品。。
