Beyond her personal vision, the film also explores the themes of collective trauma, vengeance, human evil and compassion.。明月中学に通う普通の中学生・佐倉魔美は、同級生の高畑和夫を思わず助けたことから、自分がエスパーであることに気づく。当初、自分をエスパーだと誤解していた高畑だったが、それは魔美のものだと気づき魔美のよき理解者になると共に助言をするようになる。自らの超能力を高めていく魔美は、その能力を人助けのために活用する。。
