本剧改编自落语“人间的恐怖”中的四个故事，共有五集：《心眼》《辰巳的占卜》《绀屋高尾》《宫户川・上》《宫户川・下》。。When a casino owning dog named Charlie is murdered by his rival Carface, he finds himself in Heaven basically by default since all dogs go to heaven. However, since he wants to get back at his killer, he cons his way back to the living with the warning that doing that damns him to Hell. Once back, he teams with his old partner, Itchy to prep his retaliation. He also stumbles on to an orphan girl who can talk to the animals, thus allowing him to get the inside info on the races to ensure his wins。一九二四年初夏的上海，6岁的周正雅亲眼目睹了全家被一伙不明身份的人灭门的惨剧，她和哥哥正信在邻居的掩护下得以逃生，逃脱后兄妹失散。十四年后，周正雅发誓要找出当年杀她父母的凶手。此时的小雅已经成为上海一名小偷，在十四年的浪迹中她结识了两个姐妹，街头卖艺的小点和秀娜，三姐妹专偷达官贵人劫富济贫。一次偶遇使周正雅结识了我党地下党员江一彦，在江的引导下三姐妹走上了革命的道路，同时经过努力正雅终于找到了失散的哥哥正信，并查出了当年杀害他们全家的凶手。在一段时间接触后，周正雅发现自己喜欢上了江一彦并得知哥哥正信除了报仇还有其他目的，于是周正雅和她的两个姐妹明察暗访，原来正信已成为汉奸，在江一彦的领导下，经过姐妹三人联手，最后在民族大义面前，周正雅把枪口对准了亲哥哥。。
