陈晓卿，纪录片导演，从事美食纪录片创作和美食写作多年，寻找新的风味是他的工作。本节目是他第一次全程从摄影机背后走到镜头前，用自己的视角，寻访美食，并探讨食物背后的故事。 节目中，陈晓卿前往中国八个不同的地区，他和不同的向导一起，完成自己的风味探索之旅。向导中，有陈晓卿的老朋友，也有新相识。他们背景身份各异，有哲学家、考古学者、人类学家、音乐人、职业厨师、经济学家、作家等。陈晓卿用食物把更多的人聚集在一起，他认为，“美食不仅是美味，更是一种粘合剂，能让人有更多的理解和沟通”。。This would definitely not have been my kind of movie, but my husband saw it on TV and said it was really good. So, on his recommendation, I bought a copy, since I didn't know if it would ever be on TV again. I had never heard of anybody in it except Armand Assante. At first I had a hard time getting into the story, because the first part of the movie is a jumble of images-- and...。When Star Butterfly destroys her wand to save her best friend Marco Diaz, a new unicorn takes place of the dead one.
