主人翁是刚到好莱坞发展的一名印度演员，因为不熟悉环境而笨手笨脚地破坏了名制片正在拍摄的一场重头戏，以致被列入制片厂永不录用的黑名单。不料在阴差阳错之下，印度演员又接到请贴参加在制片厂老板家中举行的宴会，名制片见到他的出现分外眼红，而他则企图趁机弥补先前犯下的错误，刻意讨好制片，但是却仍然不断犯错，直至所有的宴会宾客都为之发狂。。Malcon是迈阿密日报的记者。当地发生一起谋杀案，由他负责报道。而凶手竟然主动打电话联系他，并告知凶手的后续杀人计划。同时，凶手一边不断杀人，一边不断打电话给Malcon，并告知其情况。此事引起警方高度重视的同时，也引起当地媒体的热播，Malcon变得家喻户晓。凶手此时却又迁怒于他，因为凶手的本意在于通过Malcon的报道，引起公众的重视，现在反而Malcon“喧宾夺主”。而另一方面，Malcon的女朋友Christine对此也极为不满，认为Malcon在帮助凶手……。Joseph and Brenda have done what many only dream of and retired to the South of France to live out the rest of their days as if they were permanently on holiday.
