The film ...。一次偶然中，心如死灰的女子阿黛勒（凡妮莎·帕拉迪丝 Vanessa Paradis 饰）在决定自杀的生死关头遇见了名叫加宝（丹尼尔·奥图 Daniel Auteuil 饰）的男子，一种奇妙的缘分将两人联结了起来，阿黛勒不再生无可恋，加宝也找到了他今后要做的事情。阿黛勒和加宝组成了一个团体，表演人体飞刀，阿黛勒做靶子，加宝出刀。 幸运之神眷顾了这对原本不幸的男女，他们不仅表演从未有过失误，还获得了巨大的成功。好景不长，从困顿中摆脱出来的阿黛勒渐渐显露了本性，她流连于欢场之中，辗转在各式各样的男人之间。阿黛勒的轻浮让加宝十分痛苦，因为他早已经爱她爱到无法自拔，终于，阿黛勒离开了加宝，开始了全新的生活，而加宝的事业和生活也自此开始走上了下坡路。。
